Virtual Body-Positive Therapy in NYC

Online body-positive therapy across New York

In a world obsessed with appearance, body-positive therapy helps you reconnect with yourself in a grounded, empowering way. Centering body trust and acceptance.

Together, we work to release shame, challenge harmful societal messages, and build a sense of self-worth that feels steady and authentic — a type of resilience that will help you feel confident even during the bad body image days.

body positive therapy nyc

The body-positive movement started with the fat acceptance movement in the 1960s. It was rooted in social justice and aimed to advocate for those in fat bodies to have equal rights and treatment. Since then, the body-positive movement exploded on social media and taken on a life of it’s own. However, we do not view it any differently than how it started: our practice of being body-positive therapists means that we advocate for and believe in the acceptance and equitable treatment of ALL bodies regardless of size, ability, appearance, race or gender expression.

A body-positive therapist is probably a good fit for you if…

You have tried your best efforts to feel “positive” about your appearance, but you’re stuck

If this sounds like you, we can help.

You deserve to work with a therapist who understands the complexity of body story and we wil meet you where you’re at to help you towards your goals.
